Turtle Conservation
An unforgettable night under the stars!
Turtle Conservation
From May to October, Cozumel’s beaches come alive as green, loggerhead, and hawksbill (carey) turtles emerge from the sea to nest—just as they have for millions of years.
After a fun and interactive lesson on sea turtle biology and history, students join conservationists from the San Martín Sea Turtle Camp as field technicians.
With notebooks and flashlights, they’ll patrol the beach, help identify and protect nests, and witness the magical moment when a turtle climbs the sand to lay up to 120 eggs beneath the moonlight.
It’s a powerful and emotional experience that leaves a lasting connection to the natural world.
